The Schwarz Excavation Rockhampton Rockets have added another important piece to their roster for the Coles Express NBL1 North 2023 season with the signing of Welsey Harris!
After playing college basketball for West Viriginia and Tennesse State, Harris has most recently been in Cyprus where he has been averaging 24 point and 12.5 rebounds per game. The scoring powerhouse will be great length and experience to the Rockets roster, and we can’t wait to show him what a packed Bravus Arena is all about!
Coach Tweedy said, “Wes is another great addition to our program. His size and length will add a lot to the group. Wes is probably a bit of a different look for the league, with his ability to shoot the three or score off the dribble making him a challenge to guard. He can help stretch the floor and can play in the pick and roll. We are excited for what he brings to the group.”
The Rockets season opens against the Mackay Meteors in Mackay on this Friday, March 24.
