Former Canberra Capitals WNBL player, Elizajane Loader has signed with the CQ University Cyclones for the 2023 Coles Express NBL1 North season.
Loader will bring some WNBL experience to the group and the Cyclones are looking forward to her being part of the program in 2023.
Coach Drew Fenton said, “Another great addition to our roster. Muffi will bring defensive hustle and leadership to the Cyclones. An underrated offensive threat who can knock down the open shot plus penetrate and dish. Her experience playing the NCAA and WNBL will be invaluable to the team. I coached Muffi for many years as a junior and look forward to bringing her to Rocky to play in the NBL1 North competition.”
Elizajane or “Muffi” as she is known is looking forward to arriving in Rockhampton for the season and said, “I’m super excited to be playing NBL1 North up in Rocky! On the court, I can’t wait to bring the juice defensively and make plays on offense. I’ve heard the crowd at home games is like no other and I can’t wait to get amongst it!”
Loader will arrive in Rockhampton later this month in preparation for the season ahead.
