The Schwarz Excavations Rockhampton Rockets have confirmed their first signing for the Coles Express 2023 NBL1 North season and are excited to announce the signing of elite point guard Jarvis Summers for the 2023 season.
Jarvis showed what he was capable of in an 8 game late season stint with the Rockets in 2022, where he averaged 20 points and 13.5 assists.
Coach Tweedy said, “It was integral for the program to be successful that we are able to get an elite point guard such as Jarvis back to the program, and we could not be happier that he has decided to return for another season with the Rockets.” “ His ability to get teammates involved whilst also being able to score the ball when needed was a big reason we made a late push towards finals after his arrival to in Rockhapmton late last year.
Jarvis is extremely happy about retuning to Rockhampton and said, “I am so excited to come back and play for the best team in the league! I can’t wait play for the fans and the city of Rockhampton again and I want the thank you all for having me back.”
Summers will arrive in March in preparation for the first game on March 24th against the Mackay Meteors.
