Rockhampton Basketball is very honoured to be home for two NBL 1 North Basketball League  teams. Our Rockhampton Rockets (mens) and Cyclones (womens) have been very successful contenders for the title of best in the state for many years and each year the talent just gets better and better.

Our NBL 1 North teams are now involved in an extremely competitive league which is the underpinning league to the NBL competition with 15 teams in total from as far north as Cairns and stretching all the way down to the Gold Coast.

The NBL 1 North attracts a number of elite players to the competition, including Australian representative athletes, NBL and WNBL players as well as players from US colleges and other international competitions. Each year we are lucky enough to secure a number of these elite performers to wear our colours and represent our region as well as showcasing some of our own local talent.

With such extreme talent on show, our NBL 1 North teams attract an enormous amount of support from the community with all of home games reaching sell out crowds week after week. The atmosphere at these home games is like no other venue in Queensland - we really get behind our players and lift the roof off (not literally, but nearly).
